With a strong background in Clinical Pilates and a comprehensive understanding of injury rehabilitation, Teresa is dedicated to helping patients achieve optimal health and well-being through a variety of methods.
Originally from the United States, Teresa discovered the transformative benefits of Pilates while recovering from dance-related injuries while studying dance at Uni. She then went on to complete a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology & Exercise Science and became a qualified Pilates instructor before moving to Australia over a decade ago. Whilst in Australia, she has completed the Doctor of Physiotherapy program at The University of Melbourne, and has worked in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings.
Teresa’s approach to physiotherapy is strongly influenced by her 14 years of Pilates teaching experience. She believes Pilates is an invaluable tool to inform healthy movement patterns, restore range of motion, build strength, and empower patients to achieve lasting results. Teresa also incorporates other techniques into treatment plans, including manual therapy and dry needling, ensuring a well-rounded and comprehensive approach to healing.
With her holistic approach to recovery, Teresa can tailor treatments that address the unique needs of each client, helping them restore function, alleviate pain, and enhance their overall quality of life.
